The Pavilion at Chester Frost Park

Chester Frost Park – Campground – CHECK IN/CHECK OUT

Policies Effective June 1, 2020

Ranger Station Lobby is closed to the Public.

A Clerk or Park Ranger is available daily by phone at 423-209-6894

Please be advised of the following changes:

  • Please STAY in your vehicle upon arrival. A Clerk or a Park Ranger will come outside to you.
  • Have your Photo ID ready to verify the Account Name on your Reservation.
  • You will receive a Reservation Check-In Tag to install on your campsite.

A clip to hang your Tag is located at the panel box on your site (this is new).

CHECK IN TIME is between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM Daily

  • Please DO NOT arrive early. 

Maintenance staff needs time to address site issues before you set up.

  • Please DO NOT move to another site earlier without a new check-on tag.
  • If you have another reservation extending your stay or moving to another site, we will provide you with a new check-in tag after 12 NOON and before 2:00 PM. Call the Ranger Station if you have not received your new tag by 1PM to relocate. 423-209-6894.
  • If you arrive after 6:00 PM your Reservation Check-In Tag will be installed on your reserved campsite. You may set up prior to 10PM and contact the Ranger Station at 423-209-6894 the next morning after 7am to complete the check-in process.

CHECK OUT TIME is 12:00 PM – NOON

  • Please DO NOT move to another site earlier without a new check-in tag.
  • If you have another reservation extending your stay or moving to another site, we will provide you with a new check-in tag after 12 NOON and before 2:00 PM. Call the Ranger Station if you have not received your new tag by 1PM to relocate. 423-209-6894.

No late departures or extended check-outs are allowed. You may be charged a late check out fee of $20.00 per campsite should you fail to vacate your campsite in a timely manner past the Check Out Time of 12:00 PM NOON.

Upon your departure, drop your Reservation Tag in the mailbox adjacent to the Ranger Station

Cancellation and Refund Policy For Camping

TO CANCEL A RESERVATION

               Please call the Ranger Station                at 423-209-6894 to speak with a Clerk Monday through Sunday between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm.

For a Full Refund:

7 NIGHT MINIMUM SITES require 7 days prior to scheduled arrival date notice for full refund

Example of notice for 7 Night Minimum Site: If your reservation starts on 10/1 you must cancel by 12:00 PM on 9/24 to receive a Full Refund.

3 NIGHT MINIMUM SITES require 3 days prior to scheduled arrival date notice for full refund

Example of notice for 3 Night Minimum Site: If your reservation starts on 10/1 you must cancel by 12:00 PM on 9/28 to receive a Full Refund.

2 NIGHT MINIMUM SITES require 2 days prior to scheduled arrival date notice for full refund

Example of notice for 2 Night Minimum Site: If your reservation starts on 10/1 you must cancel by 12:00 PM on 9/29 to receive a Full Refund.

For a Partial Refund:

7 Night Minimum Sites: Cancellations made less than 7 days, up to and including 1 days prior to scheduled arrival date will forfeit the first two-night’s campsite fees per campsite. The remaining balance will be refunded.

3 Night Minimum Sites: Cancellations made less than 3 days, up to and including 1 day prior to scheduled arrival date will forfeit the first two-night’s campsite fees per campsite. The remaining balance will be refunded.

2 Night Minimum Sites: Cancellations made less than 2 days, up to and including 1 day prior to scheduled arrival date will forfeit the first night’s campsite fee per campsite. The remaining balance will be refunded. 

Same Day Cancellations: Cancellations made the same day as the scheduled arrival date on any campsite reservation will forfeit the first three night’s campsite fee per campsite.

If three or less nights were reserved, cancelling on the scheduled arrival date will forfeit all campsite fees per campsite.

Cancellation Policy for Shelters/Meeting Rooms/Pavilion:

For a Full Refund(Refund Check): A request for cancellation must be submitted 7 or more days prior to the start date of your reservation.

If the cancellation request is submitted less than 7 days prior to the date of the reservation the request will be ineligible for a refund. All special circumstances must be submitted to Administration for review.

Example: If your reservation date is 10/1 you must cancel by 12:00 PM on 9/24 to receive a Refund.
